Reversed Worlds

I am back in Paris, which means I am back to being the foreigner. Yet, for some reason, I feel caught between two worlds. Continue reading “Reversed Worlds”

Photo Gallery: Turkey Run State Park – Indiana

On my visit back to the United States, my family and I decided to go camping. It had been a few years since I had done such a thing. We used to do it actively back when I was younger. We had a trailer, went four-wheeling on the Oregon coast and even took a road trip to Canada. Since we sold our trailer (years ago… I must have not even been 10 years old), we haven’t done much camping, and naturally, I am much more of a city girl. But hiking and kayaking have always remained one of my favorite things to do when outdoors, and I was lucky to do such a thing with my family. I parted ways with my then host family due to scheduling issues, I had just finished up my first semester at the Sorbonne which was highly stressful and in all honesty, I was pretty worn out by a lot of personal things in my life. Jump ahead a few months, and though I am still struggling some mental battles, there are a lot of things to be grateful for in my life at the moment. Continue reading “2017 For Now”

Made from Red, White and Blue

This is my third, consecutive 4th of July that I am not spending back home in the states (!!!), and it’s a pretty weird thought. My last 4th I remember spending with friends and even sending my what would become French host family photos from the night.  Continue reading “Made from Red, White and Blue”

Scared of Mickey to Love for Disney

Here is the story of my first time at Disneyland, which was in Anaheim, California. You would have thought that for an 8 year old at the time, it was every kid’s dream to head to the land of Mickey. It was my nightmareContinue reading “Scared of Mickey to Love for Disney”
