Childhood Home

I have been told I only live once
But how many deaths do I have?

Sitting by your arms, the ones which used to hold me so close
Now just feel ice cold.

I tell you, “I’ve missed you”
And you force a smile and say, “I think about you every once in a while”.

I sit in a spot where that love seat used to be,
If he could only see.

It’s been two years with only one call.
I’ve died to you haven’t I?

I’m a ghost in this childhood home.
