When 2017 started off, I was in a rut. I parted ways with my then host family due to scheduling issues, I had just finished up my first semester at the Sorbonne which was highly stressful and in all honesty, I was pretty worn out by a lot of personal things in my life. Don’t Fear the Packing: What You Can Find in My Suitcase

Packing is probably one of my favorite things about traveling. For many, it is the toughest part. I love it because it marks the beginning of the trip. I have been packing since I was little (thanks mom and tia), and those trips always tended to be for two plus months. My summers were extensively spent in Spain, but we were always on the move. A few weeks in the north, a few in Madrid, a few in the south… So I have learned my essentials for packing, and quickly. A Beautiful Mess

Give me 6-12 months in a new town or city, my mind will start to think about the next city to live in. It is a habit, something I cannot help. I noticed it the last move, between Oregon and Indiana. I absolutely adored the suburb I lived in outside of Portland, the friends I had made and the high school I went to (my teachers made going to school worthwhile). Then when we arrived to Indiana, I cried for months. Why had I agreed to move when I loved home so much?
